Availability:  I ordered my palette from Beautylish since they had a nice little deal where they would throw in the coveted @#$%! if you purchased the Heart Breaker palette.  (I believe you can still take advantage of this special but only while supplies last.)  You can order directly from Sugarpill Cosmetics, who just happen to ship internationally.  If you live in the UK you can also find this palette as well as other Sugarpill products at Love Make Up. While Sugarpill palettes are normally £24.99 on Love Make Up, the Heart Breaker palette is currently on for £21.00.

What you get:  Acidberry – matte lime green with a slight pearl sheen.  Velocity – vibrant matte royal blue.  2 AM – matte purple with a slight pearl sheen.  Mochi – matte mint sea foam with a slight pearl sheen.

What I liked:  These shadows are so incredibly pigmented, soft and buttery in texture.  They produce very little fall out and these are one of the few eyeshadows I’ve used that have not irritated my sensitive eyes, even when used as a liner.  Each individual eyeshadow pan is monstrous in size so you’re getting some major bang for your buck as far as size and quality are concerned.  The packaging is ridiculously adorable and I love that they included a mirror that is both large enough and has enough magnification to actually make it useful.

What I didn’t like:  The only legit gripe I have is that the palettes are no longer magnetic.  In the past they were, but last June they revamped them and decided to glue them into place.  With that said though, I’m sure there was some reasoning behind the decision.

My two cents:  Let’s just say it was love at first swipe!  I had been swooning over and coveting Sugarpill shadows for ages and I am so glad that I finally took the plunge.  This palette along with the other two individual pressed shadows that I own have been nothing short of awesome.  The first two weeks I had these, I wore them exclusively.  My husband even thought they looked great and each time I bust out my Heartbreaker palette he comments on them.  Good thing I married  guy that has not only embraces but quite likes my Rainbow Brite tendencies.

Keep in mind that Sugarpill pressed eyeshadows are also available individually.  So if you’re not digging all the colors in this palette or just find palettes bulky and cumbersome there is no need to fret.

I will definitely be adding more Sugarpill to my collection.  In fact I plan to pick up the Burning Heart and Sweetheart palettes as well which are the only other two palettes available at this time.  I have read that there are some new products in the works though so I will be anxiously awaiting their release.

I could not help but mention that I have a bit of a girl crush on the company founder Amy Doan a.k.a. Shrinkle.  She saw a gap in the market and decided to pull up her boot straps, get stuck in and do something about it, all the while striving to provide her customers with a superb high quality product.  She also has the most amazing hair I have ever laid my eyes on.  If you’d like to learn more about Amy and the story behind Sugarpill then check out her interview on Beautylish.

Tips:  Prep your lids with a good quality eyeshadow base or primer to help maximize color vibrancy and wear time.

I apologize if you’re disappointed by the fact that I did not include swatches, but I did make an attempt and I just didn’t feel that I did the product justice, and felt as though it would be unfair to include them.  However, if you would like to see some great swatches that do in fact do the Heart Breaker palette justice then head over to Temptalia or Scrangie and read their thoughts as well.  As always, thanks for reading and check back soon.
