Availability:  I found this in Ulta when the collection was first released a few months ago.  I have not seen this in Germany yet. However, you can find this collection on Amazon, Beauty Bay, Ebay,  Nail Polish Canada, Nail Polish Direct, 6Pm and Zappos.

My Two Cents:  If you’ve been reading my reviews for a while then you already are aware of my love for green nail polish so when I saw the press release for this collection I instantly knew that First Timer would be joining my collection.  While I love the color and appreciated that applied nicely, I was a little disappointed by how quickly and how much it chipped.  However, it’s not necessarily a deal breaker since it is such a great summery color.

Since I have such a vast collection of green nail polish, I thought I would do some comparison swatches of a few other greens from Essie in particular.  If you find this sort of thing helpful, let me know in the comments below and will try to do more comparison swatches in the future.

Tips:  Always begin with freshly cleaned nails, a good base coat and finish with your preferred top coat.

Something Similar:  Illamasqua – Nomad is the only color that seems to come close.

I know my posts have not been very regular, in fact they have been mostly non-existent lately but as we all know, life gets in the way or some of our pursuits sometimes.  I have so many things to test out, photograph and review at the moment that it is kind of daunting to be perfectly honest.  So you can expect the reviews to trickle out as I get to everything.

On a side note, Captain Canada and I are planning a trip to Ireland in July so if you have any suggestions as to things to do, places to stay, restaurants to eat at in and around Dublin or Belfast, be sure to let me know as this will be our first time in Ireland. As always, thanks for reading and check back soon.

Formula:  Good

Application:  Good

Durability:  Good

Coats:  2

Base Coat:  Essie Sensitivity Base Coat

Top Coat:  Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat

Price:  €7,95 Germany, $8 USD

Availability:  My mom picked this one up for me, so I’m not quite sure where she found it.  However, this collection was available at numerous places in the States such as CVS, Walgreens, Target, Ulta, and Nordstrom just to name a few.  You can also find it on Amazon.  Here in Germany this collection was briefly available at DM but they have since sold out in my area.  You can find Essie, including this collection at John & Ginger.  As far as Canada is and the UK are concerned I can’t really say where you could find this color/collection exactly.  However, if you know please let me know by commenting down below.

My Two Cents:   First of all I am a total sucker for green nail polish.  I know it’s probably a bit strange but it’s my favorite color.  So when Essie introduced their “Bikini So Teeny” collection and I first laid eyes on Mojito Madness I immediately knew I had to have it.  Once I finally received it and got the first coat on my nails I was smitten.  It is a really nice, wearable green.  It’s not dark, it’s not too bright, it’s just the right shade of green.  The formula was quite nice on this and I didn’t have any problems with balding or streaks.  I see myself wearing this over and over throughout the year as it has become my favorite creme green.  If you do not already have Mojito madness and come across it by chance, I highly recommend picking it up.

Tips:  No tips aside from the usual suggestions that you use a good base and top coat.

Something Similar:  Orly “Mint Mojito” (it is a tad lighter), Essence Show Your Feet Toe Nail Polish “In The Jungle” (slightly brighter, and I read this may no longer be available).

On a side note, I still have those M.A.C. reviews coming up and I will begin doing swatches and reviews on those lovely A-England polishes that I posted last week.  I received my order from Amazon.co.uk this morning, which was a total shock since it was not due to arrive until Friday at the earliest.  So you can also count on seeing the two Real Techniques makeup brushes and the Tangle Teezer I ordered sometime this month.  As always, thanks for reading and check back soon.

My Missing Package From June Arrived

Way back in June my mom sent me a package containing some items I had either ordered or asked her to hunt down for me that I was unable to get here in Deutschland.  Well to make a long story short, she sent that sucker on June 15th and when it didn’t arrive even three weeks later, I was getting a little annoyed and worried.  So I assumed it was simply stuck it customs and that I would receive a letter from them shortly wanting me to pay up.  The letter, nor the package never came and I was thinking of filing a complaint.  Then this past Saturday morning the door bell rang, the incredibly bullie duo went ballistic, and Captain Canada made a beeline to shut them in the living room so he could answer the door without giving the person on the other side the fright of their life.  Low and behold it was in fact my long-lost package!  Once happy dances commenced, I tore that thing open with the enthusiasm of a child on Christmas morning.

In case you were wondering the contents of this package included the following items:

  • The free glasses that I got from Coastal via their “First Pair Free Promo
  • Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Charm & Honey
  • Maybelline Color Tattoo eyeshadow in Fierce And Tangy & Pomegranate Punk
  • Essie Nail Polish in Mojito Madness, Bikini So Teeny & Go Overboard

I will of course be doing reviews on everything seen here as soon I’ve put them through their paces of course.  As always, thanks for reading and check back soon.
