AboutPagePicMy name is Lindz and I’m an American transplant living the good life in Germany.  My husband, Captain Canada and I have two very silly and rather photogenic Olde English Bulldogges (which you will certainly read about and see pictures of).  I was born and raised in the “Mitten” (Michigan) but once I married my wonderful husband I hopped the border and made the move to Ontario, Canada and quickly started camping and eating poutine, not necessarily at the same time though. A few years back, Captain Canada was presented with an amazing opportunity to work in Germany.  So naturally, once happy dances had commenced, we packed our boxes and booked some plane tickets for ourselves and the incredibly bullie duo.  Today we’re still here and still very much in a state of happiness, well technically we are in the state of Bavaria but I think you get what I mean.

The reason I decided to do this blog, I had previously done two others that focused on my experiences traveling & living here in Germany, was because I really do have a love of writing as well as a love of books, movies, travel, cooking & baking.  Not to mention what my husband would describe as a nail polish hoarding complex.  Then there is also my constant need to try new products of all kinds.  So yeah, I thought it would be a great idea to combine my love of all of these things and I will be blogging about them as well as providing some reviews of said books, movies, recipes & products with a sprinkling of anecdotes from my daily life.

If you’d like to join me on this journey  and you’re not easily offended then I would be more than happy to have you.  So please keep checking back for new posts and thanks for reading.

If you don’t mind my asking where abouts are you in Germany? My other two blogs are: http://lmgoingdeutsch.blogspot.de/ which I started when we made the move here back in 2009 and my other which is from way back we first visited Germany during my husbands 3 month training http://mlthomson.blogspot.de/

Thanks for the links! We live in Karlsruhe now, (since January). But before that we lived in Paderborn for almost 6 years. Before THAT I did two summer internships in Germany -Augsburg and Stuttgart. I’ve written a little bit about it at my blog, but mostly my blog is about motherhood. Nice to meet you!!

      • I’m about an hour north of Nürnberg myself, right outside of Coburg. I live in one of those lovely little picturesque villages that no one has ever heard of. Nice to get in touch with you as well.
