Availability:  Sadly this is not the most easily accessible in North America.  You can purchase this from Amazon.  If you live in the UK or Europe it’s a bit easier to come as Bioderma is a French brand and you can even get a the double pack for under €20 through various pharmacy sites.  While you can purchase Bioderma Micellar Water through Amazon sites.  There is also Baroness, a Swiss based company and Drugstore Cocooncenter which is a French company, both of which will ship internationally for an additional fee.  Before getting excited and placing your order anywhere, be sure to look into the shipping fees because that is where they will get you even if the price of the product seems great.  Also, there are various different micellar water formulas available from Bioderma, so do some research to find the one that will work best for  your skin type.   I’ve provided some links below where I found Bioderma Sensibio H2O.

United States:  Sears

Canada:  Murale

Germany:  Easy Apotheke &

United Kingdom: & Doc Simon

Use:  You can use this as to cleanse skin, especially on those occasional nights where you just can’t be bothered to cleanse and tone as you normally would, not that I recommend using this as a substitute for normal cleanser and water.  My favorite way to use Bioderma is to remove makeup before washing my face before bed.

What I liked:  How effective and gentle it is.

What I didn’t like:  The price.

My two cents:  If I could I would sing this products praises from the roof tops.  After the short time I’ve been using it, about a month, I feel confident enough to say that this is not only hands down the best makeup remove I’ve used, but that it is also holy grail worthy.  It is incredibly gentle, in fact this is the only makeup remover that has not irritated my sensitive eyes.  Do not be fooled by how gentle it is though because this stuff is super effective at removing all makeup, even pesky water proof mascara, long wearing lip products.  So with that said, even with the hefty price tag, I would definitely repurchase this because it really is that good.

Tips:  Start with a smaller amount on your cotton pad and for waterproof products just hold the cotton pad on the area for a few seconds to allow it to work it’s magic.

I had been debating giving it a try for a few months but considering that everything else I tried had really irritated my eyes in particular, I wasn’t ready to commit and make the investment.  However, once Heather from How to be Fancy confirmed how gentle and non-irritating it was, it gave me that last little push I needed.  So thanks big bunches to her!  By the way if you’ve not checked out her site or YouTube channel then be sure to do so the first chance you get.

In other news, I finally got a new camera!  It was an early Christmas gift from Capt. Canada and after a bit of research I decided on the Canon IXUS 125 HS, which is the equivalent of the Canon PowerShot ELPH 110 HS in North America.  I’ve only had it for two weeks but I’m loving it so far and I plan to do a full review once I get a better feel for it.  At the very least, the quality of my photos have definitely improved as evident above.  As always, thanks for reading and check back soon.

  1. My eyes are sensitive and this sounds great. I really like Yves Rocher’s eye make-up remover but they test on animals and I hate that a “natural” brand does that.

    • I wonder where Bioderma stands on the animal testing issue…I will have to dig around to see what I can find out. Even though I really like this one, there is another micellar water I am going to order that I want to try as well. It’s the Taaj Himalaya Micellar Water, which is even harder to track down in North America unfortunately.

      • Micellar water is really not popular here. I got a Sephora cleansing water which I like.

      • They are all the rage in Europe it seems. In fact quite a few product ranges seem to be passing on toners and opting for micellar waters. I know Caudelie have some available. Perhaps it’s the way the future? lol By the way I have also used one from La Roche in the past which was nice as well.

  2. I’ve been tempted to buy this for a while now. I think you may have just given me the final push to actually commit to purchasing it! Thanks for a great review 🙂

I’ve been tempted to try this one a few times but I’ve read some mixed reviews along time and decided to postpone buying it! Now it’s on my wishlist!
I only wish this was cruelty free
