Availability:  You can find Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in the full color range at MAC stores worldwide as well as on their site.

Use:  This can be used as a setting powder or on it’s own.  If you are looking for fuller coverage you can also use this wet by applying it with a moistened brush or cosmetic sponge.

What I liked:  I liked the versatility of this product and how you can achieve different coverage depending on the application technique.  This blends into the skin nicely rather sitting on top of the skin like other powders I’ve tried.  Also, MSFN doesn’t give off a chalky cast.

What I didn’t like:  I felt as though the texture was a bit less silky than I had expected (much like the Soft and Gentle Mineralize Skinfinish I reviewed).  A fair bit of fall out results in the pan as well.  It also would have been nice if there was a mirror in the compact.

My two cents:  Mineralize Skinfinish Natural works well for me on it’s own in place of traditional cream and liquid foundations, which I personally don’t care for wearing.  I find that this stays put when I wear it rather well.  Although I’ve not tried it myself, I am really curious to see how this performs when paired with a primer.  The few times I’ve worn this as a setting powder for my liquid foundation I did find that it helped create a more even finish while also helping to mattify as well.

Tips:  Don’t cake this on, start with less and build up as needed.  I tend to apply this with my Real Techniques Stippling brush by swirling it all over while taking care to use more of a stippling technique on the areas that I’ve used concealer on or that need a bit more coverage.  Gossmakupeartist suggests applying powders with a puff by gently

Still recovering from our Hamburg trip even though we arrived home Monday afternoon.  I’m hoping to do a short post on our trip with some pictures soon.  As always, thanks for reading and check back soon.
