Availability: This was another one my mom sent me from the States. This collection is available there at CVS, Walgreens, Target, Ulta, and Nordstrom just to name a few. You can also find it on Amazon.com. Here in Germany this collection was briefly available at DM but they have since sold out in my area. I recently heard that in the UK you can find Essie, including the Bikini So Teeny collection, at John & Ginger. As far as Canada is concerned I can’t really say where you could find this color/collection exactly. However, if you know please let me know by commenting down below.
My Two Cents: I absolutely love the bright pastel blue color of Bikini So Teeny, but I feel as though the shimmer is for the most part lost. As far as the formula is concerned, it was a big let down and I very nearly gave it a “Poor” rating. The only thing that prevented me from giving it a lower rating was that the third coat helped save the day just a little. I found Bikini So Teeny to be really thin and runny making it a bit difficult to work with. It also applied very patchy with quite noticeable bald spots and streaks. It’s such a beautiful color and I really wanted to love it but I was just so incredibly disappointed in the formula, especially coming from Essie.
Tips: Always use a good base & top coat. Be very careful with this color and definitely do at least three coats (or more depending on how thick or thin you do them and the coverage you achieve) and be sure to allow it to dry thoroughly between coats.
Something Similar: Essie “Lapiz of Luxury” (this is definitely a few shades darker but more widely available), and Nails Inc. “Bluebell” (this one leans much more toward purple than blue).
Just a little heads up, the Real Techniques brushes I got in the mail yesterday are awesome! So watch for the full review sometime this month. As always, thanks for reading and check back soon.
